The integration of LLMs and AI agents into software development lifecycles is no longer experimental. Yet the growing number of tools available — Claude Code, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, Cursor, Ollama, Copilot and others — raises complex questions for technology and product leaders: How do you ensure code security? How do you prevent intellectual property leakage? How do you design robust AI-powered systems?
To address these challenges, Novity launched a major initiative in early 2026: certifying our teams through Anthropic’s Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCA-F) programme.
Continuous learning and product engineering as prerequisites
Before certification comes skills development. Our approach is rooted in the need to continuously adapt our expertise to the realities of the technology market. At Novity, we do not see our engineers as simply there to execute predefined tasks.
The objective is not to teach engineers how to “prompt” an AI model. It is to redefine the value they bring to our clients. With AI, writing code faster is increasingly a given. The real challenge lies in understanding what to build and why.
Our engineers are assessed on their ability to understand business challenges, challenge functional requirements and work effectively within complex enterprise environments. In other words, they adopt a Product Engineer mindset.
This is where artificial intelligence becomes a fundamental enabler — not as a replacement for engineers, but as an accelerator.
Supporting this evolution requires continuous learning, guided by our internal academy. By strengthening this culture of technological agility and AI fluency, we ensure that our developers based in Mauritius and Madagascar are equipped to support our clients’ business-critical projects.
The Claude Certified Architect (CCA-F) Programme
Anthropic’s Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCA-F) certification is not simply a test of theoretical knowledge. It is a rigorous assessment of an engineer’s ability to design, integrate and operate solutions built around the Claude family of models.
In practical terms, a CCA-F-certified engineer develops expertise across several key areas:
- LLM system architecture: understanding how to orchestrate a foundation model with vector databases to build systems such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
- Context and token management: optimising large context windows to process extensive codebases or dense documentation while keeping inference costs under control.
- Security and compliance: implementing guardrails to reduce hallucinations, protect sensitive data and ensure that models operate within company-defined requirements.
- AI agent orchestration: moving beyond basic text generation to design AI agents capable of carrying out complex, sequential tasks.
Building sustainable AI governance beyond the hype
Investing in AI is not simply a matter of giving a handful of employees access to new tools.
Rather than training a small number of isolated specialists, Novity has introduced a broader certification programme across its teams. AI adoption is a deeper organisational challenge, and our approach is designed to address it collectively.
As Xavier Lernould, CEO of Novity, put it in a June 2026 LinkedIn post:
“Theory without code is just hot air. Code without understanding is just debt.”
Committing our teams to this programme represents an investment of nearly 80 hours per person. It requires time, hands-on experience with real-world use cases and structured follow-up throughout the learning process.
By the first half of 2026, 42% of our teams had already started the Claude Certified Architect pathway, taking part in practical sessions and sharing feedback from real-world projects.
By autumn 2026, we are celebrating our first CCA-F-certified engineers, with 50% of our consultants currently progressing through the learning programme.
The certification validates their ability to integrate Anthropic models securely — expertise that is particularly relevant when developing bespoke SaaS solutions.
What Claude Certification means for our clients
Choosing Novity as a technology, product, data and AI partner means working with engineers who understand not only software development, but also AI system architecture, data security and solution scalability.
Bringing Novity engineers with Anthropic Claude certification into your technology, product and data teams changes the way projects can be approached:
- Greater architectural confidence: Your architecture is not being handled by occasional users of the technology, but by engineers whose expertise has been validated through a certification programme created by Anthropic.
- Secure co-development: Our engineers support your projects within a clear methodological framework for managing and protecting data.
- Faster POC and MVP development: Whether you need to integrate generative AI features into an existing product or launch a new project, our teams know how to design the architecture from day one with scalability in mind.
